Summer garden party 2025: Sidney Sussex College

We are excited to bring you the wellbeing roundup: our wellbeing team, Kathleen Pickett and Emma Solaas, work throughout the year to incorporate positive mental health and wellbeing in our department.

Training and opportunities

Throughout the year, several of our managers have attended the University’s I-Act Managing and promoting Positive Mental Health and Wellbeing training.

Events and Charity

This year, on Thursday 25th of September, the Macmillan coffee morning raised £478.00 as bakers from the department filled the Cybercafé with treats to sell. The proceeds all went to MacMillan Cancer Support and will help provide vital funds to support the almost 3.5 million people in the UK living with cancer. Kathleen says: “We are extremely grateful to all those that baked delicious cakes and to those that supported us through donations to a fantastic charity.”

Earlier this year, we celebrated our summer garden party at Sidney Sussex College, where we enjoyed a sunny afternoon of scones and conversations. Enjoy the photo gallery of highlights from the day.
